Finalising

Wow! The presentation is already so near!
Feel like we've been doing this project for quite long
cos of cny holidays, which is good, so we had lots of time actually!
We are now finalising our website already,
as in putting the final essence together to it,
the audios; sounds and voice overs and so on.
And preparing our moodboards, flowchart, and sidemaps
as prints out for presentation.
So we are doing fine and alright!
But still looking back and see where is necessary to
make any important changes!
Later we will discuss and see the overall design
and final outcomes of everything!
Also prepare and practice for presentation!
We will present different parts
according to our best strength, ability that
we have all been working on this project together.
So it's good to be organised and prepared.
But nervous! lol urghh.
Man, me and Ben have been working our butts off
we have tried to work on the project everyday,
I must say it's been everyday la.
With the lil sleep, or lack of sleep.
Unhealthy but must aim for the best!
After the project we say we will sleep and rest like
there's no tomorrow hehe!
Time is precious to us, and I'm sure to all others too.
Man's very proud of me and Ben, haha
yes Man we are proud of u too! =)
We've made a great team!
Hopefully presentation will go well!

Auditions

As Manda might have alreay mentioned
a lil bit on our "auditions".
Yess there was an audition
does it create a curiosity?
Wait and see hehe..
There are also "bloopers" we have made,
where we make our own remix of sounds and music keke
its not that easy, but a hell lot of fun
haha poor ben keeps laughing
now that wait and see also la.
So glad our visuals on flash and everything is almost done!
The finish product is on its way
like i said to my dad
"our dreams are coming true!"

Well well after our last 2 tutorials
with Mr Sean, we've have had some
new changes to our designs, info, and
other elements that would overall
affect and give an impact we want for our website
with its messages and visuals, and ideas
to the readers and viewers.
Therefore, there are some new changes and
adds-on to some of our website,
which is going smoothly well.
Think the new and adds-on visuals will help
make the overall design stronger and better.
We are coping and aiming for the best of course!
So far, hopefully the readers will understand
our field guides on the website
and its other elements.
Well Mr Sean understands it well
so no problemo i guess hehe.

Other thing is that
our flash ability is getting better as well
as our progress in work.
Me, ben and man are so pro now lol! jkjk
We are coping well with it la
and know how to use
which is good already,
its better than before when we did not know at all.
Big changes!
Impresssive results!
And yes Mr Sean we know how to make lines dance!
Muahahaha
not just lines ahh, drawings also what -_-''
heheh

So far we've come up with new changes on things like
maps, names for some characters designs,
strengthen the information,
here and there, to make things easy and
understandable, and most importantly
giving the readers that impact we wanna =)

We are working real hard on flash
combining things is lots of work
and we are almost there!

Process on Flash

Whoa since we all have been dealing
and experimenting on our visuals,
well we have obviously been working
on flash software already.
Since so long ago la actually, just that
my blog is a lil slow on updating, sowiee! :P

Alright, first of all our groupies and I do not
really know so much about flash
or not much experience on using
the software. But thanks to the
computer workshops and lovely friends like
ducky, he's awesome, all this makes it's possible
for us to learn and cope better
with using the program.
From there, we also try to learn by ourselves and
teaching, and helping one another
solving whatever problems we have faced.
We don't need to depend on others to
do the making-product-process for us.
So our groupies learn and cope really
well with each other, like
I've mentioned before :D
So we all use the program with
dividing tasks and jobs, so that
all of us are able to use and gain knowledge
from this new thing. Well we are already
getting the hang of this.
So it's all good!

As you can see that
our working environment is more homely,
that's why we don't appear to be working in college.
Because we all rather and "prefer" to work at our own spaces.
A designer's space can be anywhere
as long as the person gets inspirations and is able to work.
So please don't think we are so free and not doing work.
Of course we are (everyday till exhaustion ^^), just in a different environment =D
Mostly at manda's house, sometimes at benrox's since its near college.
My house seldom because no wireless and since
benrox is very scared of my cats =P
And provided with snacks and drinks too =D
Thanks manda for the transport and everything!
And benrox ur scanner is awesome!

Although we have all worked and applied visuals to flash,
like I said improvements are being made all the time
and new changes and ideas pop up.
This is all about the learning process I have learnt.
Like, from complicated to simple isn't easy, and
simple and nice is really hard tho seems simple.
So hardwork and practice makes perfection =)
Thanks to Mr sean for guiding us through all the tutorials
we will improve for the better!

Continuous updates on experiments

I'm back with more updates on
our group experiments on the visuals.
Sorry late updates just been so busy!

We listen, share, teach and learn from each other.
We don't ignore our teammates ideas and thoughts,
whatever is right or could be improved,
we guide each other throughout the whole working process
on this project.
So what I'm trying to say here is,
I like my group
and I do enjoy working on this project
with mandy and bennyrox
you guys rock!

So anyways we have been working on our visuals
and making sure that they represent our messages well
with the considerations on different specific colours,
layouts, information, and giving more impact
to the readers when they
visit and read our website.

So what I can say about this visual experimentation part
is that, I have learnt and improved from
some things to other things
tho not only my strong interest in shooting photographs
but I share and give out my best drawing skills and styles too!
hey i can draw and illustrate and paint ok!
Those who think they might know
well ur wrong, so underestimation and judging
isn't good, well our group tend to ignore it anyways.
And concentrate on our own things
and work hard for the best!

Experiment process

As i have mentioned in the previous blog

that i would upload with some photos from our group process
on the visual experiments
well here it is hehe
after the idea, concept, messages, and style of artwork
have all been confirmed by all of us
and (idea, concept) by Mr Sean of course,
we went ahead with the experiments on visuals
we have discussed and decided on.
Since our subject on the sign of the city is "pipe"
with our message; "pipes as a connection between relationship
and lifestyle of people in a community"
We concentrate on our visuals to be more "colourful, cute, and K.I.S.S"
to help bring out the relation with idea,
the unique style and messages for the readers.

Development!

Wow it's been a while since I've blogged! Oops sorry for the late updates Been doing some work hehe see hardworking =P Anyways, lets get to business. First of all, Happy CNY to those celebrated it! During the 1st week of hols, me and Mandy went ahead with our work well of cos without Benrox but its ok understandable hehe.
So before the holidays we had some different ideas but managed to combine,
but we all kept changing our ideas...
Well yes that's part of the progress right..
We change for perfection
Anyways, we are doing the "pipes"
Our ideas were from pipes games
have been changed to supplying the water through pipes, unclogging the pipes
then we've changed our idea to how the pipes act as the connection of people in the city
the idea derived from the online dating,
where people are also actually
connected through the internet.
So from there we have improved our idea and concept of using the pipes to act as a connection between relationship and lifestyle of people in a community
because pipes connect & supply important things.
The pipe is the metaphor in representing this, and conveying our main messages.

Ok back to 1st week of hols, me and Mandy went ahead
with our work working on visual and colour experiments,
website layouts designs, at the same doing more research as we work
sharing what we know and found out to each other
I really like the team work spirit.
On the 2nd week, Benrox came back, she joined us
and been working & helping on the same progress
getting out drawings and visuals rights, and lots of visuals experiments & scannings
in our website we'll show the field guides of course, the KL elements,
and yes it will be fun and user friendly, so I'm happy with our work and teammates,
Cheers to Manda & Benrox! Wow 2nd week we had lots of visits and meetups at Rox
now we've already moved on to flash, which is hard but we're learning to
overcome the difficulty, well hopefully hehe.
Tho i must say the past month Jan hasn't really been a good month for me,
personal things and problems, but my teammate was there for me
so thanks to Amanda for being there for me, and i'm glad i've helped u as well.
Sorry think it's quite important to mention in my blog when ur in a terrible time,
and people were actually there and help u so yea.

Back to work, as i've said we have already moved to flash,
but we are also still doing more experiments and new ideas keep popping up.
So we share, discuss, improve, and most importantly:
we cope really well together =)
So updates on our progress will be up soon, and visual experiments too of course hehe.
